The telescope is in vintage cosmetic condition, with worn brass finish and tarnish, several dents, and an overall great antique patina. Marked Made in France. Untested, I don't know whether you can catch any spies with it, however it does still telescope to approximately 24, the base cap measures 1 3/4 in diameter. Great looking object with antique nautical collectible.
