Vintage set of 5 brass horse medallions on leather martingale for a horse bridle, harness or saddle, from England. The martingale strap is black leather and measures 21-inches in length by 3.5 inches across at the widest point. Each medallion is attached by a leather loop threaded through the leather strap. At the top of the strap is a brass loop for hanging. Horse brasses are used for decorating harness gear and were popular in England in the mid-19th century.
